Why window screens disappear in this county
Painters take them off and they never come back. A storm launches them into the hedge. The spline dries out and the mesh sags until you shove the frame in a garage corner. Older Florida windows are often a size that is not on a pegboard in a home center: a hair off 24 by 36, a hopper, a slider, a round-the-corner clip that only one company still makes. We measure the opening you have. We rebuild the frame if it is bent. We rescreen it if the frame is still true. You get a screen that drops in and stays.

Mesh, briefly, because it matters
Fiberglass is what most Bradenton windows already wear. It is the right default. Pet mesh is thicker and a bit darker; use it where claws happen, not necessarily on every sash if you want maximum breeze. No-see-um is a tighter grid. You will notice a little less airflow and a lot fewer gnats. Aluminum mesh shows up on windows that take more abuse. We keep spline that matches the channel. A window screen with the wrong spline looks fine on the bench and rattles in the opening.
How the job actually runs
For a handful of windows, many owners pull the frames (if they still come out) and we pick them up or you drop them at the shop. We rescreen on the bench — better stretch, cleaner corners — and they go back in the same openings. If the screens are still in the windows and you would rather not climb, we come to the house, measure, and install. Tell us how many openings, roughly the sizes, and the city. Palmetto, Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton — we run all of them. If you also need the lanai or patio done, say so. Combining the stop is cheaper for you than two trips and cleaner for the house. We are careful with stucco sills and with older wood interiors. Window work is detail work. It is not a two-minute slap of mesh.
When it is more than a window
A lot of “window screen” calls are really “we cannot open the house because the lanai is torn and the slider screen is off the rail.” We would rather look at the whole envelope: windows, lanai, slider screen, even a pool cage panel at dog height.
